A small tool for a familiar problem.

A scanner types a value, but the receiving application rejects it. ScannerBench helps you inspect what reached the browser, compare it with what you expected and give a technician a reviewed report.

It is a free part of the SmartFACT factory-floor toolkit. SmartFACT stands for Smart Factory using AI; this diagnostic tool uses local, deterministic checks. No account or AI service is needed.

Current release: 0.1.0 alpha

Capture, character/event inspection, exact and configured comparison, test-file import, model-aware manual references and local reports are available. The first advice catalogue covers two reviewed Zebra USB models. Every keyboard-emulating scanner can attempt capture; catalogue membership is not required.

Physical hardware qualification and a fresh-user walkthrough are still outstanding. The catalogue is documentation coverage, not a certified-hardware list. See the field guide for limits and tested scope. GS1 parsing and portable profiles are planned for a later stage.
